Rule 8.02(c) comment

The manager or the catcher may request the plate umpire to ask
his partner for help on a half swing when the plate umpire calls
the pitch a ball, but not when the pitch is called a strike.

官方規則是有 half swing 這個名詞的
但是沒有詳細規定怎麼樣叫 half swing，也沒說 half swing 算不算 strike
所以壘審的時候是自由心證half swing有沒有strike沒錯，但有half這回事也沒錯

規則沒明講出棒意圖，甚至根本沒講出棒(swing) A STRIKE is a legal pitch when so called by the umpire, which: (a) Is struck at by the batter and is missed; 規則只講有strike（擊球）這個動作沒打到要記好球 swing/half swing和strike怎麼對應就 看裁判 規則看起來是說half swing的時候可以問一三壘審這算不算個strike，完全自由心證
