The Cubs just completed an 8-1 road trip after beating the Nats again today. They AVERAGED over 10 runs a game on the trip, scoring 95 times, including 14 or more in 4 of the 9. That's pretty insane.
The 99 runs scored over their last 10 is the second most (1930/104) over a 10 game span in 100 years. The last time they won as many as 8 of 9 on a road trip was 2010. (@ESPNStatsInfo)

Correction. That's 89 runs in 9 games. From Elias: They are the 1st team to score at least 14 runs 4 times in an 8-game span since the 1897 Boston Beaneaters.
