“Loon will come back as the starter,” Kerr said. “He has earned that and
then some. We’re all thrilled that he’s back. There was a real fear that we
’d lose him. To get him back is massive for our team. It sets up well for
Loon to continue what he did for us last year. In doing so, he’s really a
good mentor for James.”

Kerr：魯尼會作為先發成員回歸，他替自己贏得這個位置。大家對於他的回歸感到興奮，很擔心會失去他，而他的回歸對於我們是很重大的。Loon 可以持續做好他去年所做的，會是小智的好榜樣。

Kerr has admitted in the past to some missteps with Wiseman in his rookie
season, overcomplicating his responsibilities and juggling around his role.
It’s clear Kerr wants to simplify Wiseman’s duties — rim run, pick-and-roll
screen, run the floor, protect the rim — as he steps into the fold again,
backing up Looney.

“I think this will be a more natural progression for James, one that didn’t
really happen his rookie year because of the situation,” Kerr said.
“ We felt like we needed to get him as much experience as possible,
and Looney was coming off a season where he missed all that time with
the nerve issues. So this seems much more natural, much more organic.
Loon is the incumbent, the championship starting center who has seen everything. Then you have James who
will learn from him and with him and will get his chances as we go. It’s a
healthy growth situation for James.”

Kerr：我認為這樣做會讓小智更自然得取得進步，這是在他的新秀賽季沒有發生的。

小智、阿嘎、Moody加入新輪替，會不會讓下個賽季比起上一個賽季，有更大的挑戰?

“I don’t know that it’s a bigger challenge because last year felt like a
huge challenge going in,” Kerr said. “Last year felt more daunting because
we’d had two lousy seasons in a row. This year feels different because we’
re the defending champs. It feels like we’ve got our groove back. We’ll
have Klay back for a full season. Our foundation in place. While we’re
absolutely going to play a lot of young guys, we kind of have a core six, a
foundational six players who are really the ones that make everything happen
and will allow us to bring the young guys along.”

Kerr：我不知道今年會不會是一個更巨大的挑戰，因為去年就是一個巨大的挑戰。
在連續經歷兩個不好的賽季是很令人氣餒。但今年很不同，我們是衛冕軍的身分，
感覺我們找回過去的狀態。KT會回來打滿整個賽季，核心陣容全員到齊。

Kerr是否認為Moody、JK、小智已經做好上場的準備?

“All of them have shown really good signs,” Kerr said.

Kerr：他們都有表現出很好的跡象。

“JK had a stretch last year where — I think it was March, early April — he
played really well and started to get more comfortable. He didn’t get as
much run in the playoffs, but that’s normal for a rookie, especially once we
were fully healthy.

“Moses looks the part. He’s got a more advanced, well-rounded game than JK

“Then James I actually think had some really good moments his rookie year.
It gets lost in the shuffle because overall it was a struggle for our team
and James had ups and downs. But you remember he had some really big games
for us. As he continues to build momentum and gain confidence in his body andskills, I think he’ll help us.”

“Donte is a perfect fit for the way we play,” Kerr said. “The ball
movement, the cutting. He’s a great cutter. He’s a really good spot-up
shooter. He’s a good passer on the move. He’s not just a spot-up shooter. He
’s a secondary playmaker. Pretty bouncy, but with a great feel for the game.
He’s gonna fit right in.”

"Donte非常適合我們的比賽方式，球的轉移、切入。他是一名好的切入者，也是一個非常好的定點射手。他在移動中也很會傳球，不只是定點射手，也是一名第二持球點，非常具有彈性，對比賽也有很好的感覺。他會適應的很好。"

“JaMychal’s the logical replacement for Otto and Beli,” Kerr said. “One
guy replacing two. He’s capable of sort of playing either role, the four or
the five. If he’s playing with Draymond, he can stretch the floor and can
guard the five, while Draymond guards the four. He gives us frontcourt
flexibility.

“I leave Andre alone,” Kerr said. “He knows where we stand. If he wants to
come back, we’d love to have him. The one thing we feel strongly about with
Andre is we want to give him whatever space and time he needs to make a
decision. I’m leaving him alone. Whenever he makes his decision is fine with
us.”
