Green, the former No. 2 pick who spent the first four seasons of his career
as the cornerstone of the Rockets’ rebuild, said that he wasn’t surprised
last month by Houston’s decision to trade him to Phoenix as part of a
package to acquire Kevin Durant.

“Yeah, I had a feeling. They’ve been trying to trade me since last year,”
Green told the Chronicle. “I’m not tripping. It’s for the better of the
team. I know it’s a business at the end of the day. I really can’t handle
how I feel. Whatever happens, happens. At the end of the day, I still got theopportunity to play basketball.”

這位前榜眼，在火箭度過職業生涯前四季，並一直是球隊重建計畫的核心人物。他表示對

Green said that he was notified of the trade first in a call from Rockets
general manager Rafael Stone, and then by his agent.

Stone said this week that the decision to part with Green was not an easy
one, adding that Green "did everything we asked."

Green表示，最早通知他交易消息的是火箭總管Rafael Stone，隨後則是他的經紀人。

Stone本週受訪時表示，與Green分道揚鑣的決定並不容易，並補充說：「他完成了我們

要求他做的一切。」


Green isn’t going it alone; he is joined on the Suns by former Rockets
teammate Dillon Brooks, also part of the Durant trade. And Green said he is
looking forward to teaming up in the backcourt with Booker, who this week
agreed to a two-year, $145 million maximum contract extension with the Suns.

While in Las Vegas for summer league, Green said he planned to meet up with
some former Rockets teammates including Jabari Smith Jr. And just as he
emphasized in his heartfelt farewell post on Instagram, Green wanted to
stress that there’s no bad blood between him and the city he once called
home.

Green表示，他這次來夏季聯賽計劃與Jabari Smith Jr.等前隊友聚會。

而就像他在Instagram上那篇深情告別的貼文所強調的那樣，Green想讓大家知道，他對曾
經效力的那座城市毫無芥蒂。


“I love H-Town,” Green said. “It’ll always be love in Houston.”

Green說：「我對休士頓永遠有愛。」
