周二晚上，洛杉磯湖人季前賽客場輸給了鳳凰城太陽隊。Luka Doncic 和 Austin Reaves 這場比賽兩人各砍了25分，雖然上場時間不多，但常規賽僅剩一週就要開打。
賽後，Luka Doncic 聊起了他跟湖人主帥 JJ Redick 的搭檔與默契，JJ Redick 這休賽期簽了延長合同，準備帶隊到2029-2030賽季。在採訪中，Luka Doncic 忍不住開玩笑提了提他跟 JJ Redick 在獨行俠隊當隊友的糗事。
“I had to carry JJ when he was my teammate [with the Mavs]. He couldn’t move
at all, so I had to carry him big time,” said Doncic.
Luka Doncic 說：「我在獨行俠時就要揹著JJ Redick，他根本沒在動，我可是拼了老命carry他。」
