POSITION OPENING: CHEMICAL ENGINEER
Formosa Plastics Corp. Louisiana has an opening position of Chemical Engineerat VCM plant. The position will be hired as a contract employee on a temporary basis.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY:
The Chemical Engineer will provide day-to-day technical and engineering support to the operating areas; assists in planning, design, and installation of equipment and processes in the operating areas.

1) Develop and execute process improvement projects to improve the stability,efficiency, sustainability, productivity, environmental compliance, and safety of the existing plant processes and systems.

2) Participate in Management of Change (MOC) and Process Hazard Analysis activities for projects as needed.

3) Provide technical/engineering support to the Operations Team, through problem solving, data analytics, and troubleshooting methods.

4) Safety and Environmental improvements of process areas.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
뜠 Minimum Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
뜠 Experience in chemical, refining manufacturing settings is preferred뜠 Good interpersonal relationship skills, problem solving/troubleshooting skills, and written/verbal communication skills
뜠 Willing to work after hour when need arises.

WORKING HOURS:
Work would be at Formosa Plastics (Baton Rouge) VCM plant and a normal work week is Monday thru Friday, eight (8) hours per day.
