IRAPUATO (Mexico) - Chinese Taipei broke into the win column on Day 2 of the FIBA U17 Women's Basketball World Cup 2024 in Mexico, also their first in the history of the competition.

They defeated Egypt, 69-45, to book their first-ever win in their debut appearance in the biennial competition. They practically led from start to finish, putting up leads of as big as 25 points in the process.
