I just spoke to President Trump, and we agree — the relationship between the
United States and China has never been better. Following President Trump’s
historic meeting with Chairman Xi in South Korea, I had an equally positive
meeting with my counterpart, China’s Minister of National Defense Admiral
Dong Jun in Malaysia. And we spoke again last night. The Admiral and I agree
that peace, stability, and good relations are the best path for our two greatand strong countries. As President Trump said, his historic “G2 meeting” set
the tone for everlasting peace and success for the U.S. and China. The
Department of War will do the same — peace through strength, mutual respect,
and positive relations. Admiral Dong and I also agreed that we should set up
military-to-military channels to deconflict and deescalate any problems that
arise. We have more meetings on that coming soon. God bless both China and the USA!

在川普總統於南韓與習主席舉行歷史性會晤之後，我也在馬來西亞與我的對應夥伴——中
國國防部長董軍上將——進行了一場同樣積極正面的會談。

我們昨晚再次通話。

我與董上將一致認為，和平、穩定與良好的關係，才是我們這兩個偉大而強盛國家的最佳道路。

正如川普總統所說，他那場歷史性的「G2會晤」，為美中兩國之間的永恆和平與共同成功定下了基調。

戰爭部（Department of War）也將秉持同樣的原則——以力量維護和平、以互相尊重建
立信任、以積極關係推動合作。

我與董上將還同意，應建立「軍對軍溝通管道」，以在問題發生時及時「避免衝突、緩和升溫」。

我們很快還會就此舉行更多會議。

世界秩序已經從美國單極轉變為美中雙極
兩國正在恢復戰略互信機制
合作換取穩定
