Pacers veteran wing Buddy Hield broke Reggie Miller's single-season franchiserecord for 3-pointers on Wednesday night when he hit his 230th 3-pointer of the season.

Hield has hit 6 of 10 3-pointers with five of them coming in a 19-point thirdquarter.

Hield leads the NBA in 3-pointers and will participate in the NBA All-Star Game 3-point contest on Saturday night in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Hield is now one of two players to hold the season 3-pointers record for two teams as his 282 in 2020-21 are the most by a player for Sacramento. J.J. Redick holds the mark for Philadelphia (240, 2018-19) and the Clippers (201, 2016-17).

Passing a legend, a great, Reggie at Indiana shows a testament to my hard work, dedication to the game and my teammates, finding me in the right open spots. People say, 'Yeah, I can't do it without my teammates,' but my teammates find me a lot."

This is the fifth time Hield has hit at least 200 3-pointers. He's passed the270 mark three times. The 30-year-old Hield already ranks 31st on the NBA's all-time 3-point shooting list with 1,647 3-pointers.
