We seek a highly motivated hands-on engineer for a position in the Low
Voltage Test Engineering group, a team focused on creating robust testing
equipment for our vehicles low voltage components.
This team concentrates on mechanical, electrical, and software test systems
supporting our production lines around the world. This is an exciting
opportunity to be a part of a dynamic team emphasizes collaboration in our
work, and always encourages each other have fun while changing the world
together.

Responsibilities:
‧ Design high-level and detailed-level CAD models of test equipment
‧ Layout electrical/pneumatic schematics
‧ Establish clear, concise test plans, and control test plan execution
‧ Host, and attend design review meetings
‧ Support build, debug, validate, and fine-tune equipment for release to
production
‧ Participate in initial equipment conceptual development and carefully
balance product specifications, process requirements, layout
complexity, cost, and lead-time limits
‧ Able to define most efficient plan for testing, focusing on test time
reduction and simplicity to promptly release equipment
‧ Interact with various design, manufacturing, sustaining, and firmware
teams throughout project
‧ Establish great working relationships with vendors and managing their
deliverables
‧ Continually design and implement improvements to released equipment

Requirements:
‧ Proficiency with design process integration and electromechanical /
mechatronic systems
‧ Demonstrated excellence in a Manufacturing, or Testing environment
‧ Hands-on skills with diagnostics software, hardware, tools, instruments,
general electromechanical systems and measurement techniques
‧ Exposure to a wide variety of test systems, production machinery,
industrial sensors, and equipment (pogo-pins, pressure transducers,
temperature controllers, current meters, etc)
‧ Versed in SolidWorks, or similar 3D CAD software
‧ Experience creating technical specifications for test equipment
‧ Project Management experience is a plus
‧ Experience transitioning products and processes from prototype to
production desired
‧ Knowledge of production quality metrics is a plus
‧ BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering
‧ 3+ years of experience as a Mechanical/Mechatronics/Test Engineer

Sr. Failure Analysis Engineer 高級失效分析工程師

Tesla China Product and Test Engineering team’s mission is to investigate
and feedback product issues during general assembly at Tesla factories, in
collaboration with large cross-section of other engineering teams. This is a
very hands-on senior level individual contributor role with duties focused infailure analysis and root causes activities.

We are seeking a multi-faceted Electrical Engineer who will be responsible
for all aspects of identifying, analyzing, root causing; implementing
countermeasures, and reporting on issues affecting all low voltage PCBAs
including, but not limited to, body controllers and car computers. He/She
will work with test engineers to quickly mitigate and implement
countermeasures at contract manufacturers to improve quality, reliability,
durability of the products.

Responsibilities
‧ Work with quality engineers and suppliers to monitor products performance,
identify trending issues. Prioritize based on Severity, occurrence, and/or cost of each failure modes
‧ Detailed failure analysis, identifying root-cause of problems – Perform
board-level debugging to isolate faults for physical FA
‧ Apply knowledge of electrical engineering and PCBA manufacturing to drive
containment and corrective action implementation into production /
design / supplier / Firmware.
‧ Participate in continuous improvement activities,and take preventive
actions.
‧ Share Lessons Learned from previous field issues; Provide upfront feedback
by participating in design reviews to ensure product performance,
reliability, and manufacturability issues are identified and risks
mitigated. (DFMEAs)
‧ Take part in ongoing optimization of the products and processes
(performance, cost, technology)

Requirements
‧ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Power Electronics,
Electronics, Mechatronic, or similar fields required. MS degree in
engineering a plus.
‧ Prior applicable experience (5+) is required; preferably in a hands-on
role such as Failure Analysis / Quality / Service in consumer electronics or automotive
‧ The successful candidate for this position must have a broad technical
background with the ability to work with engineering, manufacturing,
service, and suppliers across a wide variety of issues.
‧ Strong interpersonal and communication skills are an absolute requirement
to establish effective working relationships within Tesla and outside.
‧ Exceptional problem solving and Failure Analysis, strong attention to
detail and analytical thinking.
‧ Proficient in PCBA level troubleshooting and debugging; experience in
embedded systems such as ARM microcontroller or FPGA a plus
‧ Knowledge in applying statistical methods and tools to manage, synthesize,
and interpret data.
‧ Programming Languages & Tools: Python, Minitab, JMP or similar are a
strong plus
‧ Previous experience in a fast-paced, high pressure manufacturing
environment a plus.

interested in developing and sustaining Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for
Low Voltage electronic hardware and systems.
Responsibilities
‧ Work directly with Design Engineers and contract manufactures to create
product test plans.
‧ Design, fabricate, and program automated functional test equipment for the
manufacturing of electronic and electromechanical equipment (PCBA &
Electronic modules).
‧ Design diagnostics and test software to interface with sensors and test
equipment.
‧ Sustaining existing testers deployed at contract manufacturers
‧ Confer and collaborate with cross functional teams, hardware and software
teams.

Requirements
‧ Read, interpret, and diagnose schematics, wiring diagrams, and circuits.
‧ Ability to support contract manufacturing
‧ Ability to communicate in English with US colleagues.
‧ Background in analog and digital electronics designs
‧ IT knowledge and intermediate to expert level in Python

stakeholders to drive cross-functional teams to a common goal.

Responsibilities
‧ Manage fast-paced cross-functional projects from end-to-end, covering a
range of programs and subsystems
‧ Develop and manage project plans and ensure on-time delivery- Constantly
work to evolve our processes towards increasing precision and dependability, while still maintaining the agility that has gotten Tesla to where we are now‧ Lead your teams with strength and confidence through rapid development
cycles, changing requirements, and uncertainty
‧ Drive execution and completion of multiple projects at the same time
across internal and external stakeholders
‧ Act as advocate and liaison for APAC engineering organization with a

Requirements
‧ BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering/Software Engineering/Electrical
Engineering
‧ 3+ years' working experience, with 3+ years’ experience of program
management
‧ Prior systems engineering or software experience, and ideally experience
with complex electromechanical systems as well. Individual contributor
design engineering experience is highly valued
‧ Experience building, developing, and managing highly effective program
management tools and processes
‧ Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with
ability to work in a highly cross-functional and global environment
‧ Excellent organization and delegation skills with ability to own the
product roadmap and schedule with a track record of delivering projects
on-time
‧ Ability to inspire confidence in the executive team as well as the
engineering project teams, as the face of your programs
‧ Experience managing end-to-end product deployment — from concept through
development and successful launch
‧ Solid product sense with the ability to understand product architecture
