今年2月英國新車銷售量為8萬4886輛，較去年同期成長14%
也是20年來二月份數據表現最好的一年，企業購買電動車是銷售得以連續19個月成長
的主因。

2月電動車銷售表現依然亮眼，其中混合動力車輛銷量增長12.1%，其市佔率略微下降
12.7%，插電式油電車銷量成長最多，增幅29.1%，市佔率7.2%，純電動車銷量則上升
21.8%，占二月份銷售量的17.7%。

目前電動車銷量成長歸功於政府推出的企業獎勵措施，也因許多消費者擔心電動車成本過高、電池壽命和充電站普及性等問題，個人用車迄今為止僅佔新純電動車銷量的18.2%，SMMT表示，缺乏提振消費者購買電動車需求的減稅措施，可能會阻礙電動車轉型之路

儘管消費者不需要為其他減碳排技術如熱泵和太陽能板支付增值稅，但私人電動車買家仍需支付20%增值稅，新電動車增值稅減半能讓買家在首次購買時平均省下4,000英鎊，但根據SMMT的說法，對財政部來說，這比在2022年取消的插電式汽車補貼還少。

此外， 由於明年的車輛稅收調整，絕大多數的純電車買家將因汽車奢侈稅而多付1,950英鎊，而公共充電者則需支付20%增值稅，足足是家中充電者的四倍之多。

SMMT秘書長Mike Hawes認為，本週預算案如能通過這三重稅收減免，相信能在三月銷售旺季，提振電動車購買需求，同時減少碳排、促進經濟，打造更快速、更公平的零排放過度期，加速英國轉型電動車之路。
